My Kid is Fat??

"My Kid is FAT??"

Sadly, yes.  Look, there is a reason we are the world's fatest nation. We have some of the most  fast food joints.  Do you want to know how much your kid is really eating?  Lets take a look at some of the most popular places:

McDonalds: If you get just the cheeseburger meal for your kid, that is about 515 calories.  http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/food/meal_bundles/happy_meals.html

Wendy's: Although, if you got the exact same meal at Wendy's, it would be 650 calories.  With the Cheeseburger, white milk, apple slices, and fries.

Chick-fil-A: If you go to Chick-fil-A, and get the same meal, but nuggets instead of the cheeseburger, it is 645 calories.

Del taco: In the hamburger meal, it has 520-630 calories.

DEAR SOLICITORS:

I would really love it if you left my family alone.  We don't want a weedwacker, or some spot cleaner, window washer, or a new car.  On second thought, a new car sounds nice, just not if you are selling it door to door.  Leave my neighboors alone to.  Here is what happens in a nice neighboorhood: If you currently don't have something that one of your neighboors has, you jump on Facebook and ask.  We don't buy anything from solicitors.  Bad things happen when that goes on.  So, if you don't want to go to jail, you should be smart enough to stay away.  Thank you so much.

Sincerly,
Blueberry.

P.S.  If we don't know you, you shouldn't come to my house anyway.  :)

Disney Princess Controversy

Disney Princess Controversy

"New" Disney Princesses
"Old" Disney Princesses
I don't know who has heard about this, but there are some crazy controversial comments about the new and old Disney Princess looks.  Some people say that Disney Princesses lower girls' self esteems, and others say it is only the new looks that do.  I don't believe that is true.  Growing up, I LOVED all Disney movies.  Even now, I still do.  The Princesses however, have always been my favorite.  I disagree with people who say that Disney Princesses lower self esteem.  I like to think of myself as a pretty confident person.  I feel like the parents who think TV characters lower their self esteem should look at themselves first.  Parents have such a huge impact on their children.  If you don't want your daughter to think she is a princess, then don't call her princess, and treat her normally.  Disney Princesses have gone from Snow White in 1937, to Merida in 2013.  Throughout this time, there have been changes in images of the princesses.  Some by Disney, and others by people with computers that know how do some pretty cool things.  Even the story lines are very different for some the Princesses.  Snow White and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty): Both were asleep until a Prince showed up with True Loves Kiss, and awakened them.  Arial wanted to be a human girl, and live on the land.  Cinderella, showed that dreams do come true, but you have to follow a curfew.  ;) Belle saw that  you can't be a true Princess until you find true love in your own heart.  She saw that it doesn't have to be all about looks in order to love a man.  Mulan, only wanted to protect her father and fight in his place, in hopes of bringing honor to her family.  Pocahontas is the first American Princess.  She found love in John Smith, and in the movie, she stopped everyone from completely slaughtering each other after one of her own is shot.  Jasmine, is a beautiful Arabic princess.  She is strong willed, and free spirited.   Tiana, wanted to make something of herself. Ever since she was little, Tiana wanted her own restaurant. So she saved up money, and worked like crazy in order to get what she wanted.  She even helped a cut-off Prince on the way, change his life.  Rapunzel was kidnapped as a baby, and was forced to live in a tower, until a handsome man shows up.  Rapunzel only wanted to see the lights, and so she gets what she wants with the help of Flynn Rider, and he gets what he wants with her help.  Merida, is a strong, beautiful young woman, who realized, you don't need someone to protect you, and that you can do it yourself.  All of these princesses have their own stories.  Good parts, and bad.  If you only focus on the bad parts, Disney Princesses get a real bad reputation.  In all honesty, young girls look at the cool things that their favorite princess does in each movie, or the beautiful dresses.  They don't look at the impossibly perfect hair, or the size zero waist lines and size 38 C cup size.

A TRUE PRINCESS!!
